Auto-generated documentation for CodeDeploy type annotations stubs module types-boto3-codedeploy.

Client#

Implicit type annotations#

Can be used with types-boto3[codedeploy] package installed.

Write your CodeDeploy code as usual, type checking and code completion should work out of the box.

# CodeDeployClient usage example

from boto3.session import Session

session = Session()

client = session.client("codedeploy")  # (1)
result = client.add_tags_to_on_premises_instances()  # (2)
  1. client: CodeDeployClient
  2. result: EmptyResponseMetadataTypeDef
# ListApplicationRevisionsPaginator usage example

from boto3.session import Session

session = Session()
client = session.client("codedeploy")  # (1)

paginator = client.get_paginator("list_application_revisions")  # (2)
for item in paginator.paginate(...):
    print(item)  # (3)
  1. client: CodeDeployClient
  2. paginator: ListApplicationRevisionsPaginator
  3. item: ListApplicationRevisionsOutputTypeDef
# DeploymentSuccessfulWaiter usage example

from boto3.session import Session

session = Session()
client = session.client("codedeploy")  # (1)

waiter = client.get_waiter("deployment_successful")  # (2)
waiter.wait()
  1. client: CodeDeployClient
  2. waiter: DeploymentSuccessfulWaiter

Explicit type annotations#

With types-boto3-lite[codedeploy] or a standalone types_boto3_codedeploy package, you have to explicitly specify client: CodeDeployClient type annotation.

All other type annotations are optional, as types should be discovered automatically. However, these type annotations can be helpful in your functions and methods.
