Examples#
Auto-generated documentation for Firehose type annotations stubs module types-boto3-firehose.
Client#
Implicit type annotations#
Can be used with types-boto3[firehose]
package installed.
Write your Firehose
code as usual,
type checking and code completion should work out of the box.
# FirehoseClient usage example
from boto3.session import Session
session = Session()
client = session.client("firehose") # (1)
result = client.create_delivery_stream() # (2)
- client: FirehoseClient
- result: CreateDeliveryStreamOutputTypeDef
Explicit type annotations#
With types-boto3-lite[firehose]
or a standalone types_boto3_firehose
package, you have to explicitly specify client: FirehoseClient
type annotation.
All other type annotations are optional, as types should be discovered automatically. However, these type annotations can be helpful in your functions and methods.
# FirehoseClient usage example with type annotations
from boto3.session import Session
from types_boto3_firehose.client import FirehoseClient
from types_boto3_firehose.type_defs import CreateDeliveryStreamOutputTypeDef
from types_boto3_firehose.type_defs import CreateDeliveryStreamInputRequestTypeDef
session = Session()
client: FirehoseClient = session.client("firehose")
kwargs: CreateDeliveryStreamInputRequestTypeDef = {...}
result: CreateDeliveryStreamOutputTypeDef = client.create_delivery_stream(**kwargs)
